Essex Academy Training Academy
Essex Academy was created in 2012. Our Director’s Danielle and Daniel Brown were passionate about providing a safe welcoming learning environment.
Not everyone is attracted to mainstream college for personal reasons and is a welcomed complimentary alternative in the heart of Harlow Town Centre. Danielle sought to find funding for most personal circumstances and is particularly passionate about empowering women to become financially independent.
There is evidence that supports smaller classes enables learners to have closer interaction with their tutor and improves the confidence development of the learner.
Danielle also has a desire to inspire other women to be confident in starting out in business and supports building confidence and encouraging positive attitudes, whilst they are studying the necessary skills and knowledge of the learners journey.
We are an independent training We provide a wide range of courses including all things hair and Beauty and also teaching qualifications.
The team at Essex Academy will welcome you warmly. We will treat each and every one of our students with the up most care and respect. Our tutors are passionate about the hair and beauty industry and are here to guide you through to success. With successful careers over 20 + years of experience can filter to you all the valuable industry knowledge and skills. Our classes are kept small; 8 maximum at any one time.
We have funding available in our stunning newly renovated fully equipped salon. All Covid secure measures are in place to safeguard everyone who walks into the academy.
We have partnered with Beauty in Community as an extension to your training experience. They run the Practice to Perfect Project which will give you real life work experience with tutors on hand. We know the lockdowns and restrictions during the pandemic has been impacting on practical time in the classroom and welcome the project with open arms.
We only use the best products on the market, Goldwell, Dermalogica, EGB, Kryolan, Revolution, Spectrum, Harmony, Gelish, Perricone.

We fully believe that everyone is capable of completing. As long as you are determined to succeed and have a passion for hair and beauty all that leaves is for you to be committed to undertake the course. Yes there will be work to do, no we wont do it for you 🙂 Yes we will support your learning journey fully from start to end. We are committed to ensuring you complete your course with confidence. All our tutors are empathetic and enthusiastic ad will stretch you to become the best professional.
Note
You will truly get out out of these courses what you put in, be it a full level 2 or 3 diploma or a short specific course, we will be here to guide you all the way. We provide all tools equipment and products for every course we deliver, and some courses even come with kits to take home at the end of the day.
This ensures that you are all working with the same, not leaving any one at a disadvantage and our tutors are happy to work with reputable products.
Everyone is welcome to attend our courses and the only pre requisite for any course is the Nail extensions short intense 5 day course, and gel veneer you will need to have a manicure qualification as minimum to enrol. We do provide this training at Essex Academy.

We are based in Harlow in Essex but can travel to salons, and areas of a 25 mile radius for group bookings for short courses. All of our courses, short or long have an assessment process at the end, be that by way of an external examiner visiting from our awarding body or one of our internal assessors taking you through an assessment process at the end. You will need a model for assessment!
You will need models for some classes but if you struggle and can tell us in advance of the course starting we will endeavour to help.
It is also important to take on board the guidance and attend the employability workshops on offer. This will help you to create your own portfolios of work and to start building your own client base.Â

We hope everyone that attends our courses and participates as a model will have an enjoyable and uplifting positive experience.
All our courses are accredited by ABT or ITEC and will enable you to gain insurance.
We offer 10 % discount to all our students to be insured with ABT.
Workshops are also available and these are not accredited They are designed to gain advanced knowledge in specific areas you may already possess or areas you would like to trial out before committing to an accredited course.
